Have you ever heard of the expression “walk with purpose”? Well IWS and Team SuperVan are participating in a charity walk with a very important purpose.
Autism is the second most common developmental disorder in the United States – affecting 1 in every 110 children born today. Despite some promising discoveries, the cause of autism is unknown and a cure does not exist. Therefore research is crucial.
Specifically, Autism affects a dear friend of IWS, young Van who was diagnosed on the Autism spectrum about 5 1/2 years ago. Since then a team of family and friends collectively known as “Team SuperVan” have participated in the 5K Walk Now, Autism Speaks walk in DC to help raise awareness and money for this organization. On Saturday November 6th, we will be coming together to do it once again.
This year, we’ll be doing it in style too – thanks to our custom designed super-hero t-shirts.
