Donnie Riggs

There’s the political. And there’s the personal. Then there’s project management, where the two meet. Managing both is Donnie Riggs’ job.

Donnie came to IWS in August 2008, at the height of campaign season, and was immediately immersed in the world of online politics. He’s responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of clients and ensuring their needs are met.

Born and raised in West Virginia, Donnie received his Bachelor of Science in Journalism in December 2003 from West Virginia University. While completing his degree, he served as a Supervisor at ICT Group in Westover, West Virginia, where he developed and led marketing campaigns for a national top-ten insurance company, implemented new marketing campaigns and trained and managed a staff of over 100 sales representatives.

Later, Donnie moved to the Washington, DC metro area and joined the advertising department at the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Chronicle of Philanthropy, where he worked closely with clients to design print campaigns. He later joined the marketing department where he was responsible for the overall marketing campaigns for both publications.

Donnie resides in Arlington, Virginia, just a stone’s throw away from the Iwo Jima Memorial and the National Cemetery. In his spare time, he can be found in the Appalachian Mountains biking its trails, paddling its streams and enjoying the cool, clean mountain air.
